GOAL

The goal of the Biology Department Master's Program is to train specialists at the master's level who can apply their knowledge to carry out innovative professional activities in researching living organisms, their interactions with each other and with the environment, and solving problems related to the environment and human health.

 

PROGRAM INFORMATION

1.        The master's program trains competent and successful specialists in all fields of biology. It gives admitted students the opportunity to become experts in one of the most diverse subjects in the field. The program offers a graduate degree for students with undergraduate degrees in biology, biology education, molecular biology and genetics, biochemistry, bioengineering, and agronomy who want to be the experts who contribute to the shaping of science and the future in the fields of Biology and its applications.

2.         There are six classrooms, a seminar hall, herbarium, biochemistry, and histology laboratories in executing the master's program. There is an internet infrastructure that provides access to courses, scientific books, periodicals, databases, and electronic resources; also, there is a central library with study rooms that provides uninterrupted service.

3.         9 full-time lecturers currently give master's education, including 3 Professor Doctors, 3 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor, 1 Research Assistant and 1 Academic Specialist. Some of the faculty members have completed their doctorate abroad. All faculty members conduct joint scientific studies with researchers abroad and participate in international scientific activities. At least three (3) faculty members specializing in different fields of biology, which are assigned for five years from prestigious universities in Turkey, work in our department. Faculty members of other universities in the Kyrgyz Republic are also assigned part-time at our University to conduct graduate program courses when necessary.

4.         We have student exchange programs and double degree agreements with reputable universities abroad. In addition, there are students exchange programs such as Erasmus, Mevlana, and Orhun, and there are free education opportunities at universities in many countries, especially in Turkey.

The master's program is updated according to scientific developments and innovations.
